Regional Coordinating Center Contact PI: Christopher Streib, MD, MS
Dr. Streib is an Associate Professor in Neurology and also the Director of the Cerebrovascular Services for the MHealth Fairview system. Due to his role as a clinical operations leader, he actively works to synergize clinical care workflow with research processes. At the level of the RCC he provides overall oversight, with the focus on building the regional research network and initiating network trials.
Regional Coordinating Center Senior PI and Career Enhancement Director:Dr. Lakshminarayan directs the Clinical Research Training Program in the nationally-ranked UMN School of Public Health. She is an NIH-funded investigator whose research deliberately involves low-resource health systems, including federally qualified health centers, in order to ensure recruitment of under-represented minorities.
Project Manager: Abbey Staugaitis, RN, MSN, CCRC
Ms. Staugaitis’ accumulated experience as project manager for StrokeNet, Strategies to Innovate Emergency Care Clinical Trials Network (SIREN), and essential multicenter COVID trials has been critical to operationalizing practical, efficient, and effective clinical research workflows.
